The Victorians loved jewellery that featured hands - whether it was a delicate silver or gold brooch, carved ebony for mourning jewellery, they were a symbol of strength, loyalty and fidelity since Ancient Rome. In the Georgian and Victorian eras, they were often shown wit holding flowers or clasped together.
This brooch measures 11cm in length. Looks great on a lapel, or pinning a scarf. Also looks good pinned on a fabric belt. This is a silver plated zinc alloy brooch.
